RISHI at Pure Healthcare Holds National Clinician and Student Well-Being Retreat for Healthcare Professionals

RISHI at Pure Healthcare presented a virtual one-day retreat, “The Impact of Creativity in Clinician and Student Well-Being” on April 16. The retreat offered nourishment and self-care for healthcare professionals and medical and nursing students through RISHI’s award-winning discovery model methods.

The retreat was presented by Evangeline Andarsio, MD, RISHI director; Jonathan Pincus, MFA; and Mary Pat Thomas, MS, RN, AHN-BC. The presenters helped participants explore the impact of creativity in clinicians and healthcare professional students’ well-being.

Throughout the retreat, participants gained a new appreciation for self-expression through reflection, generous listening and journaling. The use of art and artistic expression opened participants to new and unique ways to express themselves, their work and create a meaningful connection with each other.

Participants for this virtual retreat represented a wide range of professional backgrounds, including physicians, nurses, veterinarians and graduate learners. Those who attended the virtual retreat expressed significant joy and gratitude. They look forward to the next opportunity for a similar experience.
